Welcome!
This page is for those of you who are curious about who made this site (me) and how it was made.

A fitting place to start explaining my site is to give you a brief introduction to myself. I am Jordan Sandoval, San Diego native and self-proclaimed beach bum.
I have been fortunate enough to spend a good portion of every summer of my life around San Diego's beaches, discovering the unique and wonderful aspects of each.
And still, after my many days spent down by the seaside, I find myself drawn to these beaches because I know they hold many more treasures than I can imagine.
Founder Jordan Sandoval At Ocean Beach
I launched this site in 2011 as a way to turn my love of San Diego's beaches into a productive enterprise.
Thinking of how many people come to San Diego specifically for our beaches, and how many of them hardly know where to begin, I figured that my knowledge could be extremely helpful for those who aren't familiar with the area.
Additionally, I wagered that there are plenty of San Diegans who could use a helping hand in getting to know our beaches as well.
So here I am, sharing my current knowledge and expanding my horizons to share newfound knowledge with you. And now I can dub each new adventure I have and each beach day I take as research. Not too shabby if you ask me.
My site is powered by Site Build It, which is essentially the most awesome company on the planet. The philosophy of Site Build It (SBI) works on a simple foundation, the premises being:
So in a nutshell, SBI encourages you to capitalize on the knowledge you already have. Take a topic you know a lot/are passionate about and share your knowledge on that topic through a website to make it work for you.
I know that the act of creating a website may sound a bit daunting, but the resources you get when you use SBI really make it anything but.
You are provided with just about anything you could ask for, from an extremely thorough guide to walk you through the process, to research tools, to forums where you can share your questions with other SBI site owners.
For me at least, this process has been really gratifying. Before I created this site I had pretty limited experience with anything of the sort, but after working through my inexperience and carefully adhering to SBI's guide I now have my site to show for it.
Having this as my personal project, sharing what I love through it, has been legitimately fun, and knowing that it will contribute to my financial stability makes it doubly exciting.
To put it plainly, I think that SBI offers great resources and I am wholly happy with my SBI experience.
