Fun and family-oriented are words that aptly fit Coronado's Beach N Diner.

Black and white tiled floors, servers decked out in 50s attire, and classic tunes playing throughout the diner take you back a few decades.
There's just something about the 50s vibe that adds an instant dash of cheer and fun. I think it has to do with being in an environment that differs so greatly from those you typically find yourself in.
It's a good pick if you're heading out with the family as it provides an environment, as well as a menu, that family members of all ages can enjoy.
This is one of my most frequented Coronado restaurants. When my little brothers were younger I would take them along for beach trips quite often and this was a favorite lunch destination. We always had a good time here just soaking up the atmosphere (we all love oldies music) while enjoying burgers and shakes.
The Beach N Diner's servers further promote its upbeat atmosphere with good old-fashioned friendliness.
As you'd expect from a 50s style diner, burgers, fries, and shakes are all on the menu. All of these classics are done right at the Beach N Diner. Burgers are of awesome quality here, juicy and completed by fresh toppings. Shakes here are also outstanding. They've got the combination of creaminess and flavor down to a science.
The Beach N Diner also has a selection of sandwiches to choose from. Heads up, these sandwiches are pretty hefty, but they are matched in size by their tastiness. The turkey club is my favorite, I'd try it if I were you.
Another plus to this place is that it adjoins a Mootime Creamery, which is sort of like Cold Stone in its concept. Pick your ice cream, pick your toppings, and they'll mix them together for you.
The Beach N Diner is relatively inexpensive, most meals will cost you in between ten and twenty dollars. Not too shabby for a fun meal out.
