Over the years of hanging around here, several Coronado restarants always draw me in. These are my favorites, and they took years of searching to find, but here they are all ready for you. Enjoy. :)
I first stumbled across Island Pasta about 4 years ago and absolutely loved it. It's location on Orange Avenue makes it a nice, quiet spot to enjoy a meal, and patio seating provides a prime location for people-watching.
Service has been great each and every time I've eaten here, and the food is always just as good. I really recommend the garlic cheese bread and the lasagna.
I've eaten at McP's many times, but I have never actually eaten inside the restaurant--I always opt for patio seating. Spacious, inviting, and festive, you're in for a good time when you're here sitting outside on a sunny day.
Happy with my burger
From my experience, a meal at McP's means good service and good food to match. My opinion: the burgers are awesome and the Cobb salad is wonderful.
As far as ambiance goes, McP's depends on the time. During the day it's a pretty quiet place, but by evening there's usaully live music to spice things up, and it has proven to be quite fun when I've been there.
Either way it's a great place to go to kick back with friends whether you're looking for a meal or just to have a few drinks. I dub this one of the best restaurants in Coronado for a casual meal.
Probably the first thing you'll notice about this place is the giant plastic cow outside. Once you get past him, you step into a classic diner with black and white tile, burgers, shakes, and oldies playing on the jukebox.
I'm just a huge fan of this place. As you dine you're surrounded by an American 1950s atmospehere, which is just plain fun in itself. When you add good food into that environment it makes for a wonderful restaurant. As far as Coronado restraunts for the family go, this one is top notch.
I've sampled this menu quite a bit and I've never been disappointed. The deli sandwiches and salads always satisfy, making the list of my favorite meals. But the absolute top of the line are just the classic burgers and shakes, I heartily attest to the tastiness of both.
And if you just feel like grabbing some dessert, there is a Mootime connected to the Surf-N-Diner where you can grab some heavenly ice cream. If you're in Coronado this is definitely a good spot to know.
One day a few summers ago my friends and I discovered this place tucked away inside what is pretty much a convenience store. It's off the beaten path, but the gyros are delicious, not to mention inexpensive.
This is a great restaurant in Coronado to swing by if you're looking to grab something quick and save some cash while you're at it.
