Island Pasta brings delicious Italian food within walking distance of Coronado's Central Beach, thus it ranks highly by my standards for combining two of my favorite things.

Island Pasta is a great place to go if you're seeking a casual meal. The restaurant is pretty small, giving the place a cozy feel.
A neutral color scheme coupled with clean, simple decorations make for an inviting and effortlessly elegant environment.
Patio seating is also available, which is a great option for enjoying a meal and taking in the surroundings.
I love eating on Island Pasta's patio. It's right on Orange Avenue, making it a great location for people-watching. Plus, when dining outdoors you are completely enveloped by the relaxed, beachy atmosphere of Coronado Island.
The servers add to the welcoming environment as well. Each time I have visited they have been friendly, courteous, and efficient.
Island Pasta has an all-around solid menu.
Starting with appetizers, the garlic cheese bread is a delicious way to start your meal. I was hooked after my first sampling, now I order it every time I dine here.
Salads here are also a good prelude to your main dish, but then again they make for good main courses as well! They're made with fresh veggies and topped with tasty dressing.
Most of the main courses are pasta dishes (with a name like Island Pasta would you expect anything else?). Their lasagna is among the best I have ever eaten, making it the Island Pasta meal I usaully go for. Also noteworthy is the spaghetti dish. The extremely tasty sauce makes the plate.

Plates at Island Pasta are reasonably priced, which is partially why it's one of my favorite Coronado restaurants.
Most dishes cost in between ten and twenty dollars.
Bottom line: You get good service and good food without breaking the bank when dining here.
