The Shores of Mission Beach

On the Sand

Mission Beach, California

Mission Beach typically has a lot going on on the sand due to the many beach-goers it attracts.

But whether you're looking for a day of activity or a day of relaxation, there is ample space for you.

My friends and I have spent quite a bit of time here. We play beach soccer until we tire ourselves out, then lay out on our towels and relax. That simple recipe makes for some great days.

In the Surf

San Diego beaches are known for the great surf, so it's no surprise that Mission Beach draws in surfers, swimmers, boogie boarders, and other lovers of water sports.

Around Mission Beach

Belmont Park, Mission Beach

Mission Beach is kind of in the middle of the action. You have Belmont Park right off the boardwalk with all of it's carnival-style fun close to add excitement.

In addition, there is a host of restaurants within walking distance of the beach, and shopping to match.

Mission Beach Park is also just across the street from the beach, so if you want to get in a picnic, or a game of soccer, this park is a great resource.
