San Diego Dog Beach: Coronado

This San Diego Dog Beach is adjacent to Coronado's Central Beach, starting about a mile north of the Hotel del Coronado. It's a pretty large area, so you and your dog have plenty of room to work with.

Generally speaking, Dog Beach is a very friendly place because it attracts very friendly people, and dogs of course. There's usually quite a few active owners and pets out, which makes for a high energy place.

I am not a dog owner myslef, but my friend and I have taken her dog on several trips. It's a really cool place to go, especially because of the friendly of people it attracts.

Dog Beach lends itself to being a social place, for people and canines alike. Every time I have been, we always meet a handful of people, all of whom have been very personable. If that's the kind of environment you and your dog enjoy, Dog Beach is a good choice for you.

Maybe Coronado isn't for you and your dog? There is another San Diego Dog Beach in Ocean Beach. Ocean Beach has a totally different vibe, so if Coronado doesn't sound like your style you might want to check out Ocean Beach instead.
